First Saturday means Bobcat Tailgating

First Saturday Purple

Come out and support the team — all the teams — with tailgating downtown Saturday, Aug. 3. Your set-up may win the Spirit Award, and you can show our students you’re behind them all the way this year.

Wear your purple. Bring your chairs. Picnic, cook out, or do it the easy way buying from local restaurants and vendors.

EB Reece will be on the Chamber stage — and will finish off the evening upstairs at JJ’s.

Don’t miss the sidewalk sales and store specials.

First Baptist Church will sponsor children’s activities and Cartecay Bike Shop will lead a fun ride. Apple Country Car Club is bringing along some of their coolest rides.

Bring your school spirit, and bring school supplies for the Optimist Club “Stuff the Bus” campaign.

Independence Day Celebration

POSTPONED  – A Star-Spangled Beach Party

The FOURTH OF JULY festivities have been moved to Saturday, July 6.

The parade starts at 6 p.m., the No Buffet Live beach party starts afterward, and the fireworks begin about dark-thirty.

Your group can still be part of the festivities with a float or vendor booth. Use the forms below even though they are dated for July 4. We’re still planning the “Star Spangled Beach Party” with  themed floats competing for trophies and cash prizes, our own downtown beach, 1500 beach balls to be thrown into the crowd, a “No Buffet Live” music line-up, Corn Hole and other outdoor games, and traditional summer food and fun vendors.

IT’S ALL JULY 6! (Second rain date July 7 if necessary)
