It’s A Star Spangled Beach Party Fourth

Join us for a celebration of our independence.

The fun starts at 3 p.m. in the River Street Parking Lot.

Beach games, corn hole, beach music, craft and food vendors.

Watch the 6 p.m. parade up River Street, around the square, and up North Main.

Look for radio personality Moby — Moby in the Morning — at the head of the parade.

Then, in the River Street Parking Lot, he’ll be singing the National Anthem, signing autographs, and sharing his downhome take on patriotism.

Stay on River Street for No Buffet Live, an evening of Buffet without Buffet.

The fireworks show starts about thirty minutes after dark

You can still enter a float in the parade, be a sponsor, or sell your creations.

Don’t say it oput loud, but Saturday is the rain date.

Light Up Ellijay is set for November 29 in downtown Elli-Whoville.

The festivities, with music, caroling, and dancing, begin at 5 p.m. but store specials and craft vendor offerings go on all afternoon.

Christmas in Elli-Whoville will be the theme of this year’s parade which begins at 6 p.m. Get your craziest hair-dos and outfits going.

Members of the high school chorus will participate in the program. High school art students have made special sets for your pictures with Santa or the Grinch. He’ll be wondering around with his own brand of humor and love. And we have a few surprises this year. Stay tuned.
